Live on Purpose

Ellen Browning Scripps championed women’s education, and her namesake college continues her legacy.

Scripps students go on to be anthropologists, astronomers, neuroscientists, writers, mathematicians, and economists. More importantly, they are earnest, brave, and selfless women. In order to continue to attract top-tier Scripps students, the college needed a brand refresh that conveyed their campus culture while reinforcing their commitment to the advancement of women.

The Process

The new brand had to be relevant to both prospective students and alumnae, as Scripps needed to increase their enrollment and donor engagement. The creative expression was founded in the school’s tradition and history, but creates an aesthetic that is radically modern.
